In regards to KDE Plasma changes...

Single click to select, double-click to open. It's the only sane way to use a PC.

Don't @ me, if you disagree you're wrong and filth.

@gamingonlinux My first configuration change whenever I set up a new #KDE system for many years.

@gamingonlinux what is or was the default? I bet it has been nearly 20 years since I last used KDE

@gamingonlinux they're just trying to mess up the mouse interface so someone finally uses plasma on a touch screen. To date, no user has ever launched plasma on a touch screen device, it has never happened.

@gamingonlinux double click to open? You're doing this wrong. Everyone knows that open is ESC :o 🤣😂🤣😂

@gamingonlinux
I use kde plasma with thunar (default configuration)

@gamingonlinux I got used to the old way so now I have to change it back.

Single click to open is faster to navigate with. Yall too clumsy to use it properly.

I wear my insanity with pride!

@gamingonlinux This! when they first changed that around I thought I was going mad! Why they would single click to open other than just to be different in the most annoying way possible is beyond me.

@gamingonlinux As somebody who uses touchpads and mice a lot, I agree. Though I'm very glad the KDE developers are still keeping the option in settings because they want to please those fans of single click and because Plasma is the most customizable DE.

@gamingonlinux if single clicking is wrong then I don't want to be right.

@gamingonlinux one of the first things I changed on KDE in the past.

Strange on how a Windows looking DE would adopt such an un-Windows default for something so critical as selecting something with a mouse.

@gamingonlinux but, why didn't they just set double-click by default and allow those who want it to enable single click in the options ?

@fschaupp it's not meant to be taken seriously and you're replying to a really old toot
