I wonder who invented this Instagram behaviour: right after opening the app, show you some _new_ content, spark user’s curiosity, but then immediately and unconditionally replace it with another content.

Like, what was they thinking? Show skeleton screen or a spinner!

@nikitonsky Glad it's not just me who hates this! I wouldn't mind if the content was just whatever I'd seen previously but sometimes it's new and then immediately replaced with something different but also new. weird.

@nikitonsky and good luck trying to find what it showed in the first place

@nikitonsky wallpaper from an old iPad… much appreciated!

@arto yeah, it strikes a balance between being beautiful, calm but not drawing too much attention to itself

@nikitonsky Spotify kills me with this too. I see what I was wanting to listen to, but their algorithmic brilliance finally loads and swaps in what I don't want to listen to.

@nikitonsky to sparkle your interest so you desperately scroll to find this specific content. They are weaponization the fear of missing out.

@eugensson they should randomly reload your feed once every few minutes then. BTW Twitter app did that to me couple of times
