@iamatrex @kissane I'd say it's a case of the platforms being small, so you're expected to conform to their cultural norms to fit in. I'm not on bsky, but get the impression that's more about shitposting(the fun kind), whereas here is a bit more about protectionism since people are (rightfully) wary of being like Twitter.
Twitter on the other hand was at such a scale that there wasn't any sort of broad culture - no matter what or how you posted, there was most likely a corner for you to fit in.
