@kissane On Mastodon, but also on other platforms too regarding topics that interest me also (like politics, city planning, etc), but that I know some of my followers don't give a shit about them, so I don't feel like talking about them, boosting posts about them, etc. because I have a feeling that I need to provide that kind of content that they are interested in and have received in the past from me to my followers.

This also goes bit to the Content Warning side probably, but I don't feel like using them. It's a hassle for the people that are interested in them to click every one of them open. Some people create multiple accounts, but I find it a hassle also to maintain multiple accounts and feeds.

@raikas @kissane I use an app that allows me to easily switch between multiple accounts (I currently have two - one on an AU server for mostly local content/community, and one on another server where I keep in touch with international invisible friends I first encountered on USENet along with their friends and friends-of-friends). They have different vibes for my different moods. I could imagine maybe adding further accounts in future but not there yet.

@vivsmythe @kissane For me it would feel a bit weird. I understand different accounta for different languages, but about interests it feels like having a different personality with different friend groups. Maybe would be a hassle for others too, because some times topics are maybe related to interests of both accounts 🤷. Don't know.

@raikas @kissane I do sometimes boost a post I made on one account to the other account, usually a photo I'm super happy with. It seems fine.

Btw, don't most of us have slightly different personalities with different friend groups? Not necessarily deep down, but in terms of how much we gravitate to the centre or the edges or somewhere in between?
