my long, unbroken obsession with taking moody iPhone snaps in airports

@simonharper these ones are old native RAW which I doubt is worth the writeup today. But I do love their look @sdw They do look great agreed. Would still love you to do a grading vid/tutorial one day. @sdw @simonharper I vastly prefer the grain of a normal RAW (though a smidge of color noise reduction is still needed) to what ProRAW produces in low-light settings. In good lighting, though, the extra degree of freedom from manipulating the Profile strength in ProRAW is a nice feature. @PenguinToot @sdw The TWA terminal 5 at JFK was converted and rebuilt into a hotel as “TWA Hotel” with a Consti in front and a lot of attention to the detail including a working flip board, restored with the help of the French company, which built it in the 60s for TWA. @sdw I would love to see a write up of you explaining your process of taking and editing photos. Every photo you post look sick, but I have no idea how to get at least similar results. @sdw LOVE the TWA hotel at JFK. Kind of expect to run in to a young Roger Moore or Peter Sellers at the bar. @sdw The second and third have this lovely vintage air to them, like glimpses into another slice of time. @lumiklovstad @sdw True - the third picture looks like it's taken out of a glossy paper magazine TWA ad from the 60's. @sdw amazing. I really have a habit of shooting monochrome pics with my iPhone during summer if the light is really harsh and creates super contrast. @sdw cool pictures! Eero Saarinen's TWA terminal definitely lends itself to be photographed  @sdw Was anyone patronizing the TWA Hotel? It’s a magnificent rehab with eye-popping prices and IME chronic service issues. |
@sdw@mastodon.social I love the colors on these! Did you use Darkroom for these?
