@fsf @tmstreet This seems like a good place to mention the Mycroft AI project. It's a privacy respecting, open source alternative to Alexa -- that you can buy ready-made or build yourself on a Raspberry Pi.

@fsf I've been away from smart homr devices, and I never use them. But for others who rely on them it's hard to break their habit.

The most important thing is to find or create a free alternative to these smart electronic spies.
