Gotta say, path tracing in Cyberpunk is a bigger deal than I expected, even compared to ray tracing ultra.
It’s a final piece of the puzzle that brings everything together.
Without it, some objects just look alien in the scene.
With it, everything plays by the same rules. And it adds to the feeling, a lot
One more example. Notice how flat garbage bin, planks and pipes are lit. Also notice lack of shadows from them. All fixed in path tracing version. And your brain instantly believes it, because they are supposed to be there
