When I got my first Unix account on a VAX 11/750 in 1983, we were not allowed to run EMACS! Used too much memory! Eight Megs and Constantly Swapping!

And the whole departmental computer only had eight megabytes of main memory.

So my hands are hard-wired for vi to this day, lol.

Maybe I'll take another crack at EMACS. Never too late to learn something new!
