With exceptions, what most of us do at work isn't legendary or will even be remembered.
The retail chain I worked at in my 20s was a place I put my heart and soul, thinking a legacy of good work there would serve me in the real long term. The reality? They are gone, and nothing I did there really actually mattered in the long run.
So meet your own expectations for yourself at work but don't let it be your life. Work isn't a contest and there is no prize at the end.
