@gamingonlinux Been saying this for years :) Good to see it catching on.
That said, we also must make sure that said hardware is supported. e.g., if elementary OS comes preinstalled on a computer, elementary OS *MUST* have a one click update from, e.g., 6 to 7.
It cannot revert to “install it yourself” the moment it’s time to upgrade to the next major version. (I mean, ideally, there wouldn’t be “major versions” but that’s a topic for a different thread…)
