The #coop which owns the #EuropeanSleeper company is raising 3 M€ in capital to fund the #NightTrain service from #Brussels to #Barcelona and #Prague.

I bought a few shares because their success would help me #StayGrounded. (Also, how cool is it to own a #train [lease, fraction of]?)

It's a high risk investment. No profits expected for years with favourable track prices. No membership/voting rights under 26 k€ invested. Check bylaws etc. in "legal" and "community" tabs.

@nemobis Thanks for sharing this! I don't think any of the publicity about European Sleeper mentioned it being a cooperative, I presumed it was yet another company with slick branding backed by Transdev or the like.

@davidjamesweir You're welcome! Yeah, it's rather subtle. They mention it on the website europeansleeper.eu/en/invest-e and on some trade publications but it wasn't prominent in most news. Not sure whether the seeming shyness has to do with the separation between the coop and the limited company, or with rules about marketing to retail investors, or with its being a hybrid coop where most equity holders aren't "really" shareholders, or what.
