(1) you'd think we could start with something **easier**, like the moon, or L5,
or the bottom of the Marianas Trench,

or maybe build a city at the South Pole; see how well *that* works out.

(2) easiest of all is sending a nuclear missile (which tells you how likely they'll be escaping Earth's problems...)
