Gregory's ServerThe thing that many naysayers fail to understand is that *we* are the ones in the bubble. We, a small portion of the Web, who hates centralisation and big corps. The rest of the world, the normies, do not care and will never care. For them, ease and clarity of use is of much bigger importance than privacy and public good. Why think about the complicated technical caveats of Fedi, when there's an app "all my friends and idols are on".

@writeblankspace I think the first order of business to increase the popularity of Fedi is to stop calling the non-users "lazy" 😁 Understanding the Fediverse can be very enduring!  @kytta I didn't mean it that way. Sorry if the wording is bad. But I feel like there might've been a lot of people who wanted to get into Fedi, but were so confused and didn't have the time to learn about it that they ended up not using it. Not saying of course that all non-users are lazy, but there are some who might be. |
@kytta I think we need to have a specific way of getting into Fedi where all you need to do is click and read, plus quick previews of the UIs and posts all in one website.
Otherwise, lazy people wont get in here.
