@dettlaff Wait, Threads is even a revolution? I just see this as Markie cashing in on Twitter dying without realizing that people hate him almost as much as Elon. If they're talking about the federation feature, that doesn't mean you earn any more respect. Just look at Gab, which is now a former member of the Fediverse. People already know what it (which is being a fake free speech site) and Meta (self-explanatory this time) have done, and they don't trust them in being like a good neighbor.
P.S.: I've heard that Threads's Federation would actually consist of federating with specific servers, aka whitelisting. So, it seems like there wouldn't be any real benefits of Threads being federated at all, since they can control other servers by having them bow down or lose the large userbase through defederation.
