Using the tools of the oppressor against them is a perfectly legitimate short term strategy but could people please think about what the ideal future looks like before arguing for increased legal control of services

@mjg59 we don't even need increased legal controls. we already have the legal controls, they just need to be applied

@mjg59 I first started to question the GPL when the FSF was so happy that the DMCA gave it more teeth. It had become part of the problem.

@landley @mjg59 Correlation ≠ causation. FSF might have used DMCA to their advantage but I don’t think they were the ones giving it more teeth. How is it different then using the tools of the oppressor against them?
