Xue Yao (thinkpad modder) started a crowdfunding for an amazing ThinkPad T700 mod!
This is a modded ThinkPad T61 with (main features):
* 11 gen Intel CPU (i7-1165G7)
* 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports
* 4:3 (or 16:10) display
* 2x M.2 2280 NVMe with 4 lanes of PCIe 3.0, designed for M.2 SSDs
* 2x RAM slots of DDR4-3200, up to 64GB
* Classic ThinkPad keyboard, ofc :)

There is no Thunderbolt support yet. They plan to send the motherboard for coreboot development by 3mdeb, with the hopes that they will be able to enable Thunderbolt functionalities.
Crowdfunding ends at the end of November. Motherboard shipping is planning on April 2022. Minimum price for motherboard 1100$ (full build is 1300$).
