@gamingonlinux I'm actually waiting for SF6 proton configuration good enough to negate the delay on it

telles

@gamingonlinux Dordogne with my 7 year old. More of a French visual novel than a game though.

gleb.zhulik

@gamingonlinux hl: alyx with novr mod on the deck. Very good.

Hunter P

@gamingonlinux got the vampire survivor itch again so put it back on steam deck and bought the DLC. Excited to try them

Lulu

@gamingonlinux Devil May Cry 5, Doom Eternal and RE7.

Autumn 💫

@gamingonlinux Been playing a lot of Ghostrunner, been a lot more fun than I thought it'd be. I'm not usually into extremely difficult games but something about GR just feels right

Francis ☑️

@gamingonlinux hollow knight, then before that Hades. Both are hard but not in a bad way.

the ramblings of a ghost

@gamingonlinux Risk of Rain 2, which is excellent, and Lara Croft GO, which is better than expected but the controls... One can get used to them, I swear, It'll just take a while.

Herzenschein 🐰 :verified:

@gamingonlinux I finished Spiritfarer somewhat recently. Absolutely beautiful game, made me cry several times, love it.

Gavin

@gamingonlinux Finally getting around to Prey, after picking it up for £6. Deck verified too.

It feels like Bioshock or System Shock, which is no bad thing.

Benjamin

@gamingonlinux Chained Echoes. It is so good, it made me realise how badly I needed a good RPG in my life.

idi112

@gamingonlinux Currently playing through Infra, absolutely lovely game. Also Hollow Knight on my Deck

David Bruce

@gamingonlinux Dark souls remastered, mostly on the steam deck. I am about 3/4 through and it has been a blast. Looking forward to playing the rest of From Software’s games! The “Four” Kings are an abomination though. 🪦

ToAllPointsWest

@gamingonlinux Right now I'm re-playing Cyberpunk 2077. They really kept at it with the patches and brought it back!

Craig

@gamingonlinux Dave the Diver. It's brilliant (and runs great on the Deck).

Theruvial

@gamingonlinux been playing tons of Project Zomboid lately, which is supported natively on Linux

KateYagi

@gamingonlinux
create: astral, a minecraft modpack. A lot of things to decorate with and they give skeletons makeshift copper pistols instead of bows.

Oscar

@gamingonlinux I'm replaying the Assassin's Creed series; just finished 1 and started 2 and hell yeah it's good. AC2 remains excellent.

Andreas

@gamingonlinux I'm playing Uncharted on Steam Deck and it's amazing. 🤩

Screenshot from Uncharted 4. It shows the character, Nathan Drake, standing in front of an old prison tower.
Another screenshot from Uncharted 4, which once again shows Nathan Drake looking at a big mansion on the coast at sunset.
Cregg

@gamingonlinux Cassette Beasts, and yes I'd recommend it to anyone who likes Pokémon

David279

@gamingonlinux Dead Island 2....Not really on an Island though...

Tim Shannon

@gamingonlinux Nearing the end of Day's Gone. Really, really good game.

Ondřej Kolín

@gamingonlinux I've come back to Kingdom come which runs really well under wine.

Rob Bos

@gamingonlinux
400 days on my Long Dark interloper run, hanging out in Blackrock at the moment preparing to head to Timberwolf Mountain. The new path introduced a whole new cooking system so I have to re search the whole world and also do some cartography for an achievement.

RedCyberLizzie

@gamingonlinux final fantasy 13, loads like crap unless you use proton 7.0-6 because of some memory leak. Just used up all of the ram and would hang on loading. Played 12 (My favorite) and 14 online (very good) so hoping 13 is enjoyable at least.

Matthias :veritrek_red:

@gamingonlinux Skyrim for the first time. Yeah pretty good game.

Sem tempo, irmão

@gamingonlinux bunch of stuff:

-Moonglow Bay
-Stellaris
-Space Enginnerrs
-Children of Morta
-Aggelos

...and a few more.

cuppedfart

@gamingonlinux minecraft stoneblock 3 modpack :steamhappy: :steamhappy:

Justin Jacobs

@gamingonlinux I've been jumping between several:

- Dark Souls 3 (Steam/Proton)
- Ghostlore (Steam/Proton)
- Alundra (Retroarch/BeetlePSX)
- Arx Fatalis (Arx Libertatis)

Really enjoying all of them, and continually thankful that gaming on Linux "just works" these days.

bexinski

@gamingonlinux just got halls of torment it’s great - vampire survivors and Diablo had a freaky demon baby

Maxo996

@gamingonlinux I intend to start making a small dent in my backlog soon...#SteamDeck ordered 2 days ago! #hype

Jonathan Hartley

@gamingonlinux Beton Brutal: Parkour up the inside of an overgrown brutalist tower. One person indie game. store.steampowered.com/app/233

Guillaume Jacquemin

@gamingonlinux I'm trying to replay BlazBlue games, but video issues are an obstacle, especially since the story mode for some of the games have something like 20 videos.

And no, workarounds like mf-install, GE-Proton, converting videos, etc... don't help. 😔

Tc001

@gamingonlinux Cassette beasts! Was big into Pokemon a few years ago and it has been super nice

Jason Weatherly

@gamingonlinux Playing some Hollow Knight...added a few mods and enjoying every second of it. Of course, not really in the "new" category, but definitely in the "awesome" category.

DaVince

@gamingonlinux The three I've been playing:

Slayers X is an amazing boomer shooter that I love everything about. It's very cheesy and funny and the action feels good and fast.

Everhood is a really unique and trippy semi-rhythm game with Undertale-like characters and humor. Tough as nails but very fun.

Ghost Trick just released on Steam. I loved the DS game and this remaster is very well done. Great plot, great remastered music, fun and interesting puzzle action gameplay.

Uvine_Umarylis

@gamingonlinux
Kingdom & Castles, a bit simple but good
Mariokart 8 deluxe, much better on Deck vs Switch + multiplayer (excluding the crappy ice cream track)
Bloons TD6, monke lazer cannons, 'nuff said
Moss (Oculus) what a cute little game!!!

& TotK cuz ofc

Paul

@gamingonlinux Dave the Diver on steam deck. The mini cut scenes alone are worth it. The wife is having a blast watching as well.

Mobile Suit Golem

@gamingonlinux
Harvestella. I'm about 4 hours in but it's cute!

Also project zomboid.

Ben

@gamingonlinux Lots of Factorio. I recently discovered the Seablock modpack and I've been hooked.

Andrew Martin

@gamingonlinux pathfinder wotr dlc. If you want a literal adaptation of tabletop gaming this is about as good as I’ve seen. Great writing and choices.

lime!

@gamingonlinux i felt nostalgic and went back to Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive, which i never finished as a child. 22 years later i see why, this shit is tough as nails.

Andrea Grandi 🦕

@gamingonlinux I started playing Eastward. Beautiful at first and well balanced. Then there is a part where you are being chased with no possibility to go back and buy food so you die and die…. I gave up with huge frustration 🙄

dbtonez

@gamingonlinux swapping between Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed on my Deck and Diablo 4 on my desktop.

mariskus🏳️‍⚧️

@gamingonlinux I'll tell you what I havent been playing (on linux), civilization IV :(( I can't get it to run properly updates keeps breaking it

Juha Koski

@gamingonlinux Black Mesa. Is it any good? Well, it's a remaster of Half-Life 1 so yes it is. :)

I did play the original, but never finished it. Plan is to complete it this time.

Enjoying Kink

@gamingonlinux a little bit Warthunder, a bit wh40k Rogue Trader, a bit Timberborn and today I came back to Mount & Blade Bannerlord. And threw a quick look at the dungeon of Naheulbeuk, the current epic games free title. Like all of them :ablobcatheadbang:

adwaita

@gamingonlinux Age of Empires IV! Totally worth it if you like Age2 despite it plays differently from Age2.

The campaign is also quite fun. The cut-scenes are high-quality like TV historical documentaries.

zazaserty

@gamingonlinux Persona 4 The Golden, enjoying every second of it

Akzel

@gamingonlinux Total War Warhammer 3, since it's on sale. Was on a Warhammer 2 binge before that

Sylver W. Poulsen

@gamingonlinux Almost finished A Plague Tale: Innocence on Steam Deck this weekend.
It runs rather well, which is nice.

LiberaByte

@gamingonlinux I’ve been playing Plate Up! with my SO, it’s great! Cult of the Lamb is another amazing game I keep coming back to.

Gus Schenkel :slackware: :kde:

@gamingonlinux well since I have a 7 month old child, I am playing what I can play between his sleep at night, when he sleep early I play "This Land Of Mine", yesterday I reinstalled "Vulcanoids" to play again, this week played "Crusader's King III". But I liked "Geneses Alpha One", I like space genre games, would love to get more content on it. I have bought yesterday but yet not played "X4: Foudantion", just the base game because don't know if I gonna enjoy playing it in my spare time.

Mauricio Vera

@gamingonlinux Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate Definitive Edition, a lot of fun and runs great through Proton.
Also it was a huge surprise that they ported that 10 year old game to Steam

curiousape

@gamingonlinux I just started Nier:atomata. Very interesting so far. hopefully it keeps my attention.

Mighty Murder Mittens

@gamingonlinux Frostpunk. It's a brutally hard colony management game, works via Proton with no issues.

I was trying to play Chrono Cross on my Steam Deck but for some reason I cannot get it to save correctly and it's driving me nuts.

Kraken

@gamingonlinux In linux? OpenTTD. And yeah, it’s still great.

But nowadays I am doing my best in Diablo IV. Mixed feelings, but mostly fine.

vaseline :verified:

@gamingonlinux I have been playing Lost Ark. Hopefully it gets EAC turned on for Linux. But it's Amazon so I don't think it will happen.

🌿Toonie🍸

@gamingonlinux Callisto Protocol. Yeah it seems pretty good.

WarpScanner

@gamingonlinux I actually decided to install a bunch of the smallest install and untouched Steam games I own to see how they play on my Deck.

Thus far tried:
Street Fighter 2 (Via Capcom Arcade Stadium)
Epic Battle Fantasy 4
Spy Chameleon
Tricky Towers
Space Invaders Extreme
Geometry Wars 3

Space Invaders Extreme and Geometry Wars 3 were a ton of fun in particular.

Otherwise on my desktop machine I've been playing Battlefield 2042 and AC Origins.

@gamingonlinux Playing Against The Storm and it's a lot of fun :)

BadServo

@gamingonlinux bouncing between a few things, but been playing a good bit of “Marvel’s Midnight Suns” an unusual mix of game-styles to be sure.

wryopussum

@gamingonlinux tears of the kingdom. Peak video game tbh

Comrade Eleanor the Halfling

@gamingonlinux Been playing a ton of Cyberpunk 2077 and "Bland and Sorcery". Both fantastic games, surprising to me how well they run on proton.

Lehrerseele

@gamingonlinux I've been replaying Cities: Skylines for quite a while now. It's one of the games, that work on Linux, so I've been enjoying it a lot.

April :ms_penguin:

@gamingonlinux Half-Life 2 Deathmatch and Toontown Rewritten, mostly. Some OpenTTD and Half-Life: MMod in there as well.
HL2DM: good, kind of easy with the new summer sale players
TTR: enjoyable but kinda limited in what you can really do with it
OpenTTD: most fun with mods but I've got a rhythm that works with it and it is definitely a nice time building up railways from nothing
HLMM: I'm mixed on this one. There are plenty of neat changes, but it seems like for every two good changes there's a bizarre one or one that makes the experience worse, like as an example making the suppressor on the MP5 removable; either stick to HL1's integral or go for End of Days' SD-like flash hider for realism
I'll get to Scribblenauts soon.

@gamingonlinux Dave the Diver. You will feel bad for paying a so low price for the game.

It's a "zen game", but likes to always give you some interesting narrative development.

Vile Lasagna

@gamingonlinux I picked up the Yakuza collection in gog and have been playing through Yakuza 0.

Having so much fun it's becoming a problem for my sleep schedule

mnemonicman

@gamingonlinux Mostly been playing Vintage Story. Does have a linux client even though it's written in Mono. But does have a NET7 beta which works pretty good on Arch so far. Like Minecraft but no Notch and everything is purposeful and deliberate.

Privatepower42_

@gamingonlinux are the resident evil remakes and village play well the deck?

xarvatium

@gamingonlinux Dwarf Fortress is pretty awesome, put about 10 hours into it this weekend.

CamoMano

@gamingonlinux started playing Skyrim again on SteamDeck.

Von Xylofon

@gamingonlinux Hrot. A must-have if you want to know what playing Quake on the backdrop of communist Czechoslovakia is like.

ßо₿ :verified:

@gamingonlinux Bitburner. Helped me dust off javascript skills and scratches some itch for old text-based adventure games I used to play in the BBS days.

Vlixz

@gamingonlinux Switched over to Linux a couple weeks ago, been playing Elden Ring and overwatch most of the time. Really surprised by how easy everything was. Almost everything just works

Kris

@gamingonlinux been playing all kinds of Kingdoms Reborn on steam. like civilization and banished had an amazing baby

redrufus

@gamingonlinux Just started Disco Elysium. I have a very long Steam backlog to go thru.

Go Up
