@esther they also post screenshots of maps so cropped in that you have no context for where they’re actually doing something (like will actually not include park names or whatever)

@endocrimes @esther although probably unintentional, this is hostile to visitors who might not be from the area, and (added to the use of Meta systems) increases risk for someone like a teen or young adult who might be attending an event on their own, and perhaps quite understandably does not want to tell their parents exactly where they are going!

@endocrimes @esther its an increasing problem everywhere (I see it happen in event publicity for my town as well) - the material is designed by those who live in town/city centre, and forget that folk from outside might also want to attend.

But if something is exclusively on Instagram I simply won't see it as I've never had any Instagram or Facebook account and have 0 intention of ever using it..
