First up, CEO Dickhead didn’t say “Reddit users are nothing more than a dataset.” He said “Reddit is a dataset” and what that means is that y’all been building Reddit’s dataset in exchange for having access to that dataset. That’s the exchange; that’s the economics of Reddit so far. Now, I ask you : Is another company operating for profit, giving nothing to the dataset and taking literally all of the dataset not radically different? I think it is.
