Gregory's Server@Meyerweb I have a feeling that Reddit will survive this protest. Twitter has become a unique dumpster fire of the worst decisions humanly possible. Reddit is just a typical big company being greedy and evil in a "normal" way. That hasn't killed Meta's platforms, so Reddit will likely weather this storm for better or worse.
@kreig @Meyerweb meta is a bit different though. in many countries with shitty internet laws facebook IS the internet (facebook is free to use even without an internet subscription). i mean, we all saw the flood of facebook users to mastodon back when facebook had to shut down their free offering in india. and it's not like mastodon is free. people just chose to leave when the reason to be locked to the service disappeared.
