@cat567 @despens Because the industry is currently powered by these apps due to vendor capture. Similar experience with Autocad. If you want a job doing CAD you'll benefit from Autocad training.

@miah @despens My uni effectively did that when I was in grad school by blocking ethernet ports used in the labs. Completely brought all experimental progress to a halt for a week, but that *still* wasn't enough impetus for folks to switch away.
