@fsf I love encryption, but PGP email is never going to be a mainstream thing. The closest is ProtonMail, but email is already on its way out except for business communications. We should focus on encrypted chat, such as matrix. @fsf Before I went full time with XMPP, I played with the OpenFire server. Even then, I couldn't read encrypted messages as the admin. Now, if people were to wake up and stop using those corporate controlled social services that sells them to government and other corporations.... |
@fsf btw encryption? what do you think of matrix? is that considered #FreeSoftware? What about proprietary software which clames to do end to end encryption, such as signal and whatsapp, do you think they actuall do any kind of useful encryption, can they be trusted at all?
