@gamingonlinux there's no game I regret buying tbh, but several I regret *paying full price* for. Mass Effect 3 pre-extended-cut has to be the highest regret amongst them @gamingonlinux In general I'd say Bayonetta 3. Just wasn't a good follow up to the previous 2 games. For stuff on PC, can't really think of anything I regret to be honest. I usually buy things a little later rather than straight away, which usually shields me from the worst. @gamingonlinux Crash Bandicoot: N Sane Trilogy. It was a fine collection, but I bought it a week before Activision got sued for abusing their employees @gamingonlinux Doom Eternal. @gamingonlinux SimCity (2013) There are very few games I regret buying... but that one, oof. ๐คฆโโ๏ธ @gamingonlinux Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight. I finish pretty much all the games I buy even if they suck like Call of duty: Infinite warfare. But C&C 4 - the gameplay was so bad, I just couldn't bear to finish it, despite the fact I was dying to see how the tiberium saga would conclude. In the end, I just watched the youtube video - yes, the ending sucked too. For #EA to screw one of the most beloved game franchises like this - it's a true disgrace ... @gamingonlinux While I don't really have one that I regret buying, the one that still fills me with negative emotions when I notice it is Spacebase DF-9 @gamingonlinux Fall guys, them turning free 2 play after paying 20 euros for it, especially after only 2 years is disgusting. that isn't the worst of it tho, all the changes to gameplay and comsetics bc of epic absolutely killed the gamefor me @gamingonlinux Sword with Sauce. Little indie movement shooter in alpha that was immediately abandoned, and now it just sits in my library, annoying me, lmao @gamingonlinux Borderlands 2. although itโs more about spending 30 hours in it, none of which I enjoyed. Iโd heard lots of praise of it from friends and online so I was expecting it to hook me at some point Modern Warfare 3, Final Fantasy 13, and the Thief remake all taught me to never buy a game at release and that you can't trust IP. I'll always wait at least a month until the dust has settled and sometimes will just wait for a discount. @gamingonlinux @gamingonlinux Sea of Thieves. After a few hours of playing I had to face the reality that it gives me motion sickness within 30-60 minutes of playing and I need to lie down for an hour to get rid of it. Can't refund, can't resell, a complete waste of approximately 50โฌ. @gamingonlinux Elden Ring. The gameplay was decent enough but the story was absolutely terrible. But I kept at it because other people kept saying, "It's such a great game". Finally, I get to the Elden Lord and I realized that I really didn't care to beat that boss because I really didn't care what the ending was going to be. So I walked away regretting I had put that much time and money into something I cared so little about. @gamingonlinux Thief. I was a fan of first three and I pre-ordered reboot. I was very disappointed and didn't even finish it to this day. |
@gamingonlinux Rise of the Tomb Raider. If I recall correctly I spent 60โฌ on that, first (and last) time I ever paid that much for a single game and I didn't enjoy it at all. I thought I was sure to like it, because I enjoyed the TR game before it, which I had bought at like 12โฌ during a sale.
