All of the (well understandable) noise about #HackerNews and #Reddit remind me that I've been annoyed at the lack of comments on my blog posts for _years_ by now. The fact that these communities managed to monopolize the discussion away from the original sources is part of what (IMHO) killed the blogosphere.
