@simonzerafa @SecurityWriter YouTube is unusable even with DNS-based blocking + browser extension-based blocking.
You basically need a complete rewrite of the YouTube web client for a modicum of usability. Enhancer for YouTube ( https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/enhancer-for-youtube/ponfpcnoihfmfllpaingbgckeeldkhle ) does exactly that.
Even then, it needs a custom config ( https://github.com/ankitpati/dotfiles/blob/master/src/.enhancer-for-youtube.json ) to actually be usable for me.

I probably shouldn't have used YouTube as an example because I have a paired account. It was the easiest way to solve my use case.
But without some sort of functional content modification filters the "free" version is very very user hostile 🫤
