These beta API integrations provide an early glimpse into the interoperability possible on the social web as more services are built by developers. The next step is to integrate at the protocol level via so that users of , @Pixelfed and can seamlessly follow and engage with each other.

While Bluesky does not yet use ActivityPub, they seem very committed to federation so I hope there will eventually be a way to resolve this.

@mike Thanks for working to support different platforms. Interoperability (preferably with open standards) is key to making the Internet as useful and amusing as it can be.
