Spent 20 minutes rendering video and.... Kdenlive rendered half of it with low-quality proxy clips from an imported project 🤦 🤦

Had to delete the imported project, open it separately and then copy over the clips to have it use them properly. So annoying.

I love Kdenlive but it has so many bugs like this.

@gamingonlinux Sadly, there really isn't an alternative on Linux. DaVinci Resolve is proprietary, lacks critical features on Linux even with their expensive paid version, and doesn't play nicely with AMD GPUs.

All of the other FOSS alternatives are in the same boat as Kdenlive, unfortunately...

@gamingonlinux Open source is right on par with most video production software in regards to bugs :D

@gamingonlinux why not use the free version of Davinci ? (Or blender depending of what you create in the video)

@gamingonlinux have you tried using Blender? I’ve been using it to edit old family movies and it works way better than I expected. It also has support for proxy footage so you can move around the timeline fast.

@gamingonlinux This last version of plasma has been pretty damn buggy.
