@toffy @BitBun one does not necessarily need a final goal of an adversary to play a game. When I play Factorio, it's always with enemies disabled, and so far I've never managed to launch a rocket. For me (and many people) the fun part is the sandbox itself, figuring out how to build things and optimize production. I also play OpenTTD often, and the first few years while one has little money always feel like a chore, the fun is building little trains and seeing them go.
@aperezdc @BitBun true!!!! i pretty much play the same way, but i still like having some kind of agency, i really liked the timed supply challenge in Factorio but wish it wasn't time-limited, just an iterative supply challenge
