@marnanel @histodons Before the introduction of modern aniline dyes in the late 19th century, the range of dyes available in Persia was rather limited and all dyes were made using natural and vegetal sources.

New synthetic dyes were developed in late 19th century Iran, which led to the appearance of richer colors in Iranian carpets.
