@paul the answer is the amphetamine app on the MAS.

@paul I see the search field in System Settings as an admission of defeat. "Just toss it in anywhere; we'll let them search"

@paul could be worse, on windows we get a clobbered together two-tier settings system, and the 'new one' doesn't have everything. Two sound settings panels, two network adaptor settings panels... aggh

@paul Yeah its not great, it took me forever to find that setting. I still can't believe they brought the settings mess over from iOS.

@paul As others have noted, Amphetamine is probably the way to go if you just want to handle the sleep thing. But if you also want other stuff to turn or off just as quickly, OneSwitch might also be worth a try. fireball.studio/oneswitch
