Working on a project of “my linux distro” made me realise a lot of stuff about modern linux in general
My current impression as follows:
Something was working pretty simple with command line tool when it was created?????Now it works simple in a nice looking gui that distribution ships, but underneath it is so many abstractions and stuff that you cannot do the same thing with command line anymore (or you can but it does not integrate with gui app at all)
I still find using it as personal desktop enjoyable, and using as server can skip fancy gui altogether most lot of times, but in when I try to tweak it for any non-standart desktop use, it is not that well-working at all
