This is why Europe, and the developed world in general, needs immigration. I'm very pleased that the global birth rate is falling - there are just too many of us - but capitalism can't cope with reduced demand. So it makes sense for countries with higher birth rates to send immigrants to countries with lower ones.

There has to be a transition to a system of steady state production and consumption, with much more support for people who can't work.
