Mozilla's Firefox is walling off each site's cookies from other sites, which is helpful for privacy. I block ALL third-party cookies and use add-ons that further protect me from the increasingly evil ad-tech industry's relentless spying.

@dangillmor Yeah I’m gonna switch (back) over to Firefox, I think.

@dangillmor I hope they bring this to iOS. Right now, I am finding Brave to be the most secure browser for the iOS ecosystem. I don’t need laptop or desktop anymore.

I block ALL cookies and whitelist medical and bank sites I use on a regular basis that require cookies for functionality. If I can’t use a site because of the lack of cookies, I don’t need to even bother giving them my business. I need an epi pen if I come across any ads whether it be in app, video or in browser.

@beechsundowner @dangillmor Secure ≠ Privacy Friendly. And I wouldn't call a browser who explicitly has cryptominers and tracking screentime as part of its revenue model trustworthy :'-)

When I have to use iOS I use Safari right now, but with iOS Lockdown mode enabled and additional tracking protection.

@dangillmor I’m so glad that Firefox is my default browser.

@atomicpoet people seemingly laugh at me for using it. It’s weird out here.

@dangillmor Very good move. Like you, I block all third-party and use plug-ins. Hope @Vivaldi can implement something similar. Cc for @jon.

@dangillmor

Blocking all third party cookies breaks a lot of sites. This doesn't.

@dangillmor I also recommend using pihole. Mine is running on a raspberry pi2.

@dangillmor Before the web, ads in newspapers, on TV and radio, they all worked. Advertising was a big business.
And all without spying on customers or even endangering their livelihood and property.

@dangillmor Though given the marketshare of #Firefox compared to chromium browsers it arguably does make fingerprinting easier.
