@dangillmor I hope they bring this to iOS. Right now, I am finding Brave to be the most secure browser for the iOS ecosystem. I don’t need laptop or desktop anymore. I block ALL cookies and whitelist medical and bank sites I use on a regular basis that require cookies for functionality. If I can’t use a site because of the lack of cookies, I don’t need to even bother giving them my business. I need an epi pen if I come across any ads whether it be in app, video or in browser. @beechsundowner @dangillmor Secure ≠ Privacy Friendly. And I wouldn't call a browser who explicitly has cryptominers and tracking screentime as part of its revenue model trustworthy :'-) When I have to use iOS I use Safari right now, but with iOS Lockdown mode enabled and additional tracking protection. Had been using Cookie-AutoDelete with Firefox as a workaround for this. https://github.com/Cookie-AutoDelete/Cookie-AutoDelete/wiki/Documentation @dangillmor Very good move. Like you, I block all third-party and use plug-ins. Hope @Vivaldi can implement something similar. Cc for @jon. @dangillmor Before the web, ads in newspapers, on TV and radio, they all worked. Advertising was a big business. @dangillmor Though given the marketshare of #Firefox compared to chromium browsers it arguably does make fingerprinting easier. @dangillmor not addon fan. edge strong filter @charles_ex smart @aloa5 @Ginger149 @stefanieschulte |
@dangillmor Yeah I’m gonna switch (back) over to Firefox, I think.
