 It's clear that there are a lot more active followers here than I had thought. ๐ I hope yesterday's post didn't come across as a 'beg' for interactions. I don't get to see how many people see my posts here like I can on Twitter and Instagram, so all I could go off was the interaction numbers vs follow count. Which is a bit of a shame, because it is a simple way to thank the author for the effort. So I will make the effort to press the like button for your posts. That may be contributing to your perceived "lack of engagement" as people read your posts but don't like them (b/c as I said, no engagement algo). And they certainly aren't gonna reply guy *you*. @warmapper Yeah. If you're used to the constant histrionic buzz of twitter, Mastodon can feel a bit lonely. Especially when there are lots of newcomers that aren't used to making stuff happen themselves instead of relying on the algorythms.
But it's not. Not really. It's just a quieter place with quieter people.
