@J12t Convincing a country to give up nuclear weapons is always a good thing -- no matter what consequences that decision might later have.

Our "error" in regards to Ukraine wasn't convincing them to give up their weapons, it was failing to ensure that their sovereignty and territorial integrity was sufficiently well protected. Remember, with the Budapest Memorandum, we promised to protect them, in exchange for their giving up those nuclear weapons. But, we didn't uphold our promise very well.
