@yogthos this doesn’t really surprise me. Working in sustainability for US-based companies that manufacture in China, I’ve seen companies are more focused on telling stories about how green they are, pointing to renewables at their facilities in China as evidence. Not that the US companies had anything to do with the decisions to put solar panels on the factory roofs…. 🤦‍♂️

@jolyne it looks like now that they lifted covid restrictions it's a lot easier to travel there

@yogthos This is also great news elsewhere as it means their manufacturing capacity will result in even cheaper technology

Solar prices were hovering around $1 per watt and I expect that to be $0.75 or even $0.50/within 5 years
