@gamingonlinux I can see that being incredibly frustrating for those that have spent years on officials or small tribes. Personally I have run a couple unofficial clusters and played on a few as well, modded with S+, stacking mods, adjusted rates, etc. -- so I can't say I personally mind. But had I poured in thousands of hours on official instead of unofficials, I'd be pretty livid.

@gamingonlinux Meanwhile, Coffee Stain is upgrading Satisfactory to Unreal Engine 5 as a free standard update, no rebuying or anything needed.

Obviously there's more to it for Ark 2, but 'upgrading the engine' doesn't *force* a full rewrite if the old one's just UE4 or something. Ah well, good thing I stopped paying attention to Ark I guess.

At least you can still host your own dedicated servers for it so it's not going to *totally* di- uh, *go extinct*. 🦖

@gamingonlinux If I actually cared about Ark I'd probably be pretty upset by this. Never played it, don't particularly care. I have it in my library for some reason, but I don't think I've ever launched it.
