@nano Thinking of that time I saw someone post that they had a bug in a video game, and then three days later, “Solved! I wiped my system drive and reinstalled Windows from scratch.”

@nano Don't forget to do a "dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth" right after. The two fixes before MS will say "Why don't you just reinstall Windows?"

@GameDevWitch @nano As an IT person this is usually the "fix" that works with Windows :\

The best part is when the problem comes back after a Windows reinstall or the fix being "guess you'll have to wait for updated drivers 🤷‍♀️"

@Neineon77 @nano Literally my life dealing with Car maker software. Where they update their drivers either one a week, or every 2 years.
Along with some doing shady things like unsigned PowerShell scripts for their software to run to do diagnostics. Looking at you Nissan. :angy:

@nano And it never helps. The other day I accidentally overwrite some boot manager related files somewhere deep in C:\Windows. You know, the files it needs to actually write boot entries to the MBR/EFI. I thought "surely sfc /scannow will fix this, it's a system file!"

It didn't do shit.
