@cykonot I think there is an insidious logic behind that actually. If you spread industry globally without any one country having everything they need then you're creating a web of dependence. A country can't just kick you out and nationalize your assets when the assets aren't even in the country.
China obviously understood this and never followed mass privatization model that west has been pushing.
