@MostlyHarmless @PensiveTM @RushGirl I didnāt say I wouldnāt resist. Where I come from āAntifaā is an extremist movement. It misses its goals by exaggerating in the opposite direction (āWhen you are a hammer, everything looks like a nail.ā) and romantising soviet occupation. Extremist political movements are too similar. A recent Russian-funded demonstration in Berlin (#schwarzerknecht) consisted of radical right and left, and confused people. @elosha @MostlyHarmless @PensiveTM Sorry if it seemed like I was questioning your will to stand against extremism. That wasn't the intent of my picture, but here in the US (if that isn't where you are) Antifa is what the far Rech uses as a catch-all for anyone who opposes their extremist ideology. 'Woke" too, but Antifa is another biggie for them. I use the word all the time at them. Here in the US there is no ambiguity as to what it means. @PensiveTM @MostlyHarmless @RushGirl Well then it really is different in the USA. In Europe itās not the same if you are acting against fascism of any political kind (like me) or if you identify yourself as part of the Antifa movement. š¤·āāļø Itās like not all hackers are part of the Anonymous movement, but everyone can be if they want to. And there's the thing. Antifa ISN'T a "scene", there is no organization or leader or any of the things required to become what the Far Reich has tried to turn it into. It's simply, for me anyway, who I am. I'm against the christofascists using their religion as an excuse to legislate an entire segment of our society out of existence. And that is exactly what they're trying to do right now. Shit that easy. Tucker & Hannty & tfg & MTG & every other shithead fascist needs to project away from themselves. My Dad was Antifa in WWII & that is all I need to be myself. |
