@ainmosni @gamingonlinux I doubt it, because the issue on their tracker has had no activity whatsoever. Removing the old UI prematurely when like half of the desktop user base can't even use the new UI is a bit tone deaf

Half of the people who *use* big picture mode on Linux desktop.
That's a much smaller amount than "half of the desktop user base".

Not saying it shouldn't be fixed, but still a heavy exaggeration.
But as a SteamVR user on Linux, I can tell you there are bugs which were reported in 2019 and still not fixed. Like random green artifacts or rubber banding frames. Or what about Steam Chat on Gnome leading to heavy slowdown?
