Twitter source code leaked?

@pty @stux @stux For those of us who are not computer pros, can you explain what that means or what could happen because it was leaked? @CapeHeaven Ah yes! The source code is the code that makes up the twitter platform! For examples Mastodon source code is open source and everyone can access/modify and run it but Twitter shouldn't be Appearantly a former eployee uploaded the code to Github for a while @stux Does this mean that someone can get in there and change things around? Like, they could delete Elmo’s profile? 😆 @CapeHeaven @stux in general, likely not. But then again, if the code offering is robust, perhaps one could find enough workarounds to fabricate an admin console, or something similar.. This stuff isn't even interesting anymore. From the perspective of dismantling free speech, this is just bad writing. |
