@MaggieCi lovely! I can imagine this as a nice detailed linocut

LittleTownJane

@MaggieCi wow. I have only ever seen a Kingfisher once.

Maggieci

@LittleTownJane By a creek or river? They seem so very rare, especially now with pollution.

@MaggieCi That's incredible! And quite spooky ...

David Willmore

@MaggieCi Love it. It's got sort of that "Anakin with a Darth Vader shadow" vibe.

Maggieci

@willmore Ha, yeah! Someday I'll grow up to be him

@MaggieCi 95% of a good photograph is being there at the right time

stevenray

@MaggieCi that’s quite the ‘Mini Me’ photo! 😊

David Martinez

@MaggieCi You vs the guy she told you not to worry about

Maggieci

@davidmartinez The little guy here is the star of the show!

@MaggieCi

That's a ridiculously well-composed photo. Good eye!

(and this pigeon knows a good eye, as I dabble in bird photography myself, when I'm not pecking the ground for seeds)

@rockdove It is brilliant, isn't it? I didn't take this shot, I misattributed it to Elizabeth_Ruler but I since found the original photographer instagram.com/arunkumar6974/

@MaggieCi @thebiologistisn Look at our stabby beaks. So magnificent… and stabby.

@MaggieCi nothing like shooting two birds with one shot. 👏🏽

@MaggieCi amazing photo!! Do you have on with the egret in focus and the kingfisher blurry?

David Willmore

@MaggieCi This is the kind of photo that people like to say "That's nice, but I'm sure I could have taken one just as good." But as a photographer, I know damn well how much effort and how much time commitment it takes to make a photo like this. What a great photo.

Mrinappropriate

@MaggieCi I will never take a picture as stunning as that. It is wonderful.
