There is no wave, it's script artifact. 4500 servers are nonsense, I have nearly 14000 in my database. 10M accounts is including old servers, which are down. Users on active servers are about 6.6-6.7M right now. Read this script few weeks ago, I have some overview how it works. 10M is nice, but it has some limitations... 🤷♂️  @martin 10 million represents 10 million times someone (or something) was bothered to register a Mastodon account. |
