@aeva Strangely enough, I have never heard anybody using female pronouns for the Amiga in German. Everybody always used male pronouns ("der Amiga"), even though many people I know were aware of the meaning of the name. (Computers in general are also male in German. Don't ask for logic... 😉)

@m2c_n3e @aeva I'm sure someone will jump in with a counter example and prove me wrong, but from all I can immediately think of somehow the female form is mostly used for a few high-end ones? "die Cray", "die SGI", "die (SGI) Indigo/O2", ...

@HeNeArXn @aeva That seems to be right. I never had anything to do with high end computers, so they didn't cross my mind.

@HeNeArXn @m2c_n3e it makes sense that all the *really* good computers would be girls too
