@deejvalen@plush.city @nano@yiff.life amazing. I'm going to go troll a friend who just accepted a job offer there. @nano Although I'm building them almost automatically on my server. :blobCat_giggle: Although I'm touching the source code that much due to a often mirror updates. :blobCat_in_box: @nano This is nothing new. They only now were forced to somewhat better document it in their data privacy policy. @nano Image description: Discord will possibly record your video calls, voice calls and channels including screen shares. With their new privacy policy, which will be effective after the 27th March, Discord will record/store your video calls, voice calls/channels, including your screen shares. They have removed > We generally do not store the contents of video or voice calls or channels. and > We also donโt store streaming content when you share your screen (cont'd) out of their privacy policy which is/was effective from March 28, 2022 to March 26, 2023. @nano so glad I never made an account, wish people would move off that shit @nano I mean, it should be something that you can opt out of, but there there is a reason behind it, and it has nothing to do with selling data or anything weird like that. @TransitBiker what does it have to do with, then? what is the purpose of this? are you saying "should" as in "they should do that" or "this will happen" @nano Youโre expecting me to share info that should not be public & making me feel very uncomfortable. Just because someone knows something doesnโt mean it should be out there for any eyes to see. ๐ @TransitBiker @nano The reason is playing nice with content ID or ensuring there isnโt nudity in the chat or something similarly authoritarian @nano I know they've been doing this for basicly all text and images sent, not shocked that they'd start doing this to. @nano Wow. If this happens A) Iโll cancel Nitro and B) Iโll start moving the communities I help manage elsewhere! |
@nano I'm just going back to AIM and never speaking to anyone online ever again
