@psiie I practice with my wife, and can follow basic stuff so far, but yeah not quite conversational yet either. Hopefully by next year.

I find tones are still tricky for me, and just memorizing all the words is a challenge. A lot of the words either sound similar or same, and you have to remember the meaning within a context.

That's a new challenge from other languages I've learned. :)
