Gregory's Server@hotheadhacker If the program had a bug it was call Peter time. I could tell stories. One bug had been alive and well for 3 month. I was asked to see what I could do. An IBM 1401 computer for the night LOL and by 2 or 3 A.M. the bug was toast. The phrase: "I am here" was liberally placed throughout the code. The original programmer was not happy.

@hotheadhacker The "6 levels of "if then else" was written by an IBM consultant with a P.h.D. The program went to EOJ with my fix. But since they could not prove I fixed (Magic Number 7+/-2.) It was never implemented. They programmed a work around. This is 1963(?) and I am still pissed. |
