This is very unfortunate news.
Misskey's one of the major projects in the space and it offers some of the best experience I've seen.
Cutting off all and any help for the development while having difficulties with the same development seems like a very counterproductive choice. Maybe, your project needs a change in management.
But killing it off is, IMO, not okay. A lot of people depend on it. Should they have to fork it?
