@gamingonlinux Thanks to this, I had an actual option to ditch Windows when 10 came out and drove me nuts. @gamingonlinux I remember signing up for a Steam account during the beta because of this. Fun times. @gamingonlinux it’s hard to believe it’s been that long. And it’s amazing to see how far gaming on Linux has come in that time. @gamingonlinux 10 years and they still refuse to switch to only 32 bit libraries, causing issues like this @gamingonlinux It was so long of a wait too! The rumours, the squashed rumours and even more rumours.. I was amazed when it actually happened! @gamingonlinux Holy shit it's been a decade?! Man I remember when it was announced. I'd been Linux only for 2 years at that point and running Steam in Wine worked.. barely. Super exciting to get a native client and then watch the number of native Linux games increase year over year. Now the Steam Deck. Quite a ride. @gamingonlinux It was my birthday yesterday and somehow it's this that makes me feel old. @gamingonlinux hehehe, I remember installing either the Linux version and the Windows version on Crossover and taking a screenshot with both running, just because I could! |
@gamingonlinux Wahooo :blobRave: Happy birthday to Steam on Linux!
